Abstract

This This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and emotional intelligence on employee performance at PR Guci Gentong. This research is motivated by the important role of human resources in maintaining the smoothness of the production process, work accuracy, and the achievement of company targets. Employee performance that has not been fully optimal indicates the need to pay attention to work-life balance factors and the ability to manage emotions in the workplace. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with descriptive and associative approaches. The population of this study consists of all employees of PR Guci Gentong, totaling 37 people, with the sampling technique using saturated sampling. Data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents and then processed using regression analysis with the help of IBM SPSS version 25. The results show that work-life balance, emotional intelligence, and employee performance are generally in the good category. Furthermore, work-life balance has been proven to have a significant effect on employee performance, meaning that the better the balance between work and personal life, the more employee performance tends to improve. Emotional intelligence also has a significant effect on employee performance, meaning that employees’ ability to understand, control, and manage emotions appropriately also supports work outcomes. These findings indicate that improving employee performance is not only determined by technical skills, but also by employees’ work-life balance and emotional intelligence
