Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and career development on employee performance at the Public Works and Housing Agency of Southwest Papua Province. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to 30 employees as respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the partial and simultaneous effects among variables. The findings reveal that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, career development does not have a significant partial effect on employee performance. However, work discipline and career development simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, work discipline was identified as the most dominant factor affecting employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening disciplinary culture and optimizing career development programs to improve employee performance and enhance organizational effectiveness in the public sector.
