PERAN KNPI DALAM MENDUKUNG PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH MELALUI KOLABORASI DENGAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH MURUNG RAYA

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) in supporting regional development through collaboration with the local government in Murung Raya Regency. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants included KNPI administrators, local government officials, community leaders, and members of the public. The results of the study indicate that KNPI plays a strategic role in regional development through active involvement in the social, economic, educational, and youth sectors. Collaboration between KNPI and the local government is reflected in various programs, such as creative economy development, food security initiatives, youth training, and technology-based innovations in the form of a regional scholarship application. However, the implementation of this collaboration still faces several challenges, including limited human resources, the wide geographical area of the region, and limited access to information. Despite these obstacles, KNPI has demonstrated an innovative role as an agent of change and as a bridge between the government and the community. This study emphasizes that collaboration between the government and youth organizations is an important factor in achieving participatory, inclusive, and sustainable regional development.
