This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and work motivation on the performance of agricultural extension officers at the Agriculture Office of Tambrauw Regency. A quantitative approach was employed, using a census technique in which all 60 active extension officers served as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires that were tested for validity and reliability. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the effects of each variable on performance. The results indicate that leadership has a positive and significant effect on the performance of extension officers, while work motivation does not have a significant individual impact. However, leadership and work motivation together have a significant simultaneous effect on performance, with leadership being the most dominant factor. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening leadership quality to improve the performance of agricultural extension officers, especially in remote areas.
