Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital literacy on work readiness, with self-efficacy serving as a mediating variable among university fresh graduates in Garut Regency. The study is motivated by the increasing demands for digital competencies as well as psychological readiness in facing a labor market that is becoming increasingly technology-driven. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected through an online Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 100 fresh graduates selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS version 4 software. The results indicate that digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on work readiness and self-efficacy. In addition, self-efficacy also has a positive and significant effect on work readiness. Mediation analysis confirms that self-efficacy significantly mediates the relationship between digital literacy and work readiness. These findings demonstrate that digital literacy not only enhances work readiness directly but also indirectly through strengthening individuals’ confidence in their own capabilities. This study concludes that the development of digital literacy integrated with the enhancement of self-efficacy is a crucial strategy for improving the work readiness of fresh graduates in an increasingly digitalized work environment.
