This study aims to analyze the role of the Village Head's leadership style and its impact on the motivation and performance of village civil servants at the Mlilir Village Office, Bandungan District. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three informants consisting of the Village Head and two village officials. The results showed that the Village Head of Mlilir implements a democratic leadership style characterized by decision-making through deliberation, openness to subordinates' input, and firm yet communicative direction. This leadership style positively impacts the work motivation of village apparatus, reflected in their dedication to public service and desire to innovate. Public service performance is considered good with the support of young and technology-adaptive village officials, although there are still challenges in internal communication and limited resources. The study concludes that a democratic leadership style is effective in creating a conducive work atmosphere and improving the quality of service to the community.
