This research aims to examine the application of eco-innovation through the development of livestock waste-based biogas technology as an alternative energy solution in underdeveloped areas, particularly in Banuayu Village, Lahat Regency. The background to this research problem stems from the condition of the village community, most of whom are farmers and livestock breeders. However, the livestock waste they produce is not optimally utilized and, in fact, creates environmental problems. Through the application of simple and appropriate biogas technology, this research seeks to present an environmentally friendly innovation that can convert livestock waste into a renewable energy source while producing economically valuable derivative products such as liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and solid compost. The research method used a participatory approach, directly involving the community in problem identification, training in biogas installation construction, and technical assistance for unit operation and maintenance. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, and documentation of activity results. The results indicate that the application of biogas technology in Banuayu Village has reduced the community's dependence on fossil fuels, reduced environmental pollution from livestock waste, and increased community income through the utilization of processed organic products. Therefore, biogas-based eco-innovation not only provides the benefits of sustainable alternative energy but also serves as a model for empowering village communities in achieving energy independence and an environmentally friendly local economy.
