Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between work life balance (WLB) and organizational commitment to affect performance. This study uses a quantitative-based data approach. Data collection in this study was through the distribution of a structured questionnaire with the participation of 158 employees, the number of which met the requirements of the multivariate sampling technique. The data analysis was carried out using validity, reliability, data feasibility test, F-test, multiple linear regression, and determinant coefficients, relying on the IBM SPSS version 27 analysis tool. This study revealed that work life balance and organizational commitment showed a significant effect on performance, based on joint testing, both variables were free to significantly affect performance as shown by a coefficient of 33%, for the rest were influenced by other variables outside the study model. The findings also show that work-life balance has a negative impact on performance, inversely proportional to the organization's commitment to have a positive impact on performance. Viewed as a whole, a very high work-life balance has the potential to reduce performance, while high commitment can increase responsibility, and performance in a sustainable manner.
