PENGUATAN EKONOMI LOKAL: KEBIJAKAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH UNTUK MENDUKUNG EKONOMI INKLUSIF DAN BERKELANJUTAN

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the policies and strategies of the Regional Government of North Gorontalo Regency in strengthening the local economy to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Cisadane Village. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. The results show that the policies implemented, such as business equipment assistance, skills training, and development of the agriculture and fisheries sector, have not been fully effective due to a top-down approach, weak inter-agency coordination, and lack of ongoing mentoring. The strategies identified as most effective are strengthening leading sectors based on local potential through the provision of access to technology, marketing, and capital, as well as strengthening BUMDes institutions and multi-stakeholder collaboration. The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of implementing an integrated, participatory, and sustainable approach to transform the potential of the local economy into an inclusive and sustainable economic force. The implications of this research can be the basis for more contextual and effective policy formulation for local governments in strengthening the local economy.
